Description of tasks
The Editorial Assistant plays a vital role in facilitating the journal’s editorial activities and providing administrative support for the team. A key aspect of the position is liaising with authors during the sourcing, commissioning, and preparation of forthcoming articles. Associated tasks involve handling routine queries from authors in a prompt, consistent, and professional manner and ensuring that the journal’s publication schedule is maintained. The editorial assistant may also be asked to assist preparing descriptive and promotional copy for new issues prior to publication. A cheerful disposition, good time management and a can-do attitude are essential.
Education level
BAC +2, or equivalent.
Junior / with experience / confirmed
Some experience in editorial in print or digital media would be advantageous. Prior administrative and organizational experience is essential. Project management skills and experience are also desirable.
Qualities required
The position requires a native English speaker with high level proficiency in French, especially written French. Based in Paris.
